Psychology (General) -- Virtual Campus: Scholarly Article Database Search

Go to https://www.ccm.edu/student-support/library/   Click on Library Start Page.   

You may also just go directly to the Library Start Page at ccm.libguides.com/Library

Once on the Library Start Page, look for the Library Resources Box on the lower left corner.

Click on Database List.

Scroll down and click on the following database: 

PsycARTICLES

(If off-campus, follow the instructions in the Search from Home tab above)

Click OFF the "Natural Langauge Search" button on the right side

Type  a topic in the top box.  (i.e., Depression)

After you run a search, you may choose limiters, by clicking on the ALL FILTERS button beneath the search box.

Select the following limiters: 

Full text

Peer Reviewed

Publication Date = Past 5 years

Age Groups =  Adolescence

Methodology = Quantitative Study

Then, click on the APPLY button to search again

Beneath the Title of an article of interest, click on Access Options and select PDF

Note the Following Fields:

Authors & Affiliations

The name of the Journal that published this article 

The Abstract, or summary of the article, at the beginning

The Digital Object Identifier (or, DOI number, needed for the citation) 

The Publication History (Submission, Revision and Publication Dates) at the end of the article

On the right top side, click on the CITE icon for a DRAFT of an APA citation.

On the right top side, look for the download icon, to save this to a drive, or the Share arrow, to email it to yourself.
