Josh Neufeld, an award-winning comics journalist and the writer/artist of “A.D. New Orleans After the Deluge,” was the guest speaker of The Legacy Project on October 15, 2015.
A New York Times bestseller, “A.D. New Orleans After the Deluge” documents how Hurricane Katrina influenced the lives of real people who still deal with the storm’s aftermath. Neufeld, who calls himself a comics journalist, takes a nonfiction look at the real lives of these individuals through the form of a graphic novel.
“We’re excited to have Josh Neufeld as part of our latest event for The Legacy Project,” said Professor Emily Birx, one of the project’s co-chairs. “The 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and its impact on people, especially in New Orleans, presented a timely opportunity to look deeper into its immediate influence and where we are today. Josh’s work and knowledge will give those in attendance a unique perspective.”
Josh's art has been exhibited in galleries and museums in the United States and Europe. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
