Citing Sources and Creating Citations: Home

Select the appropriate citation style

In order to maintain academic integrity at County College of Morris, the college community will not tolerate any forms of academic dishonesty. Unacceptable forms of dishonesty include cheating, copying, fabrication, plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, and submitting someone else's work as one's own. Therefore, it is extremely important to cite your sources when writing a paper or speech or creating a project. Citing your sources identifies where you obtained your information and helps to show how you arrived at your opinions or analysis.

When you are citing your sources, you must choose the appropriate citation style for your assignment. This is usually communicated by your Professor/Instructor in the syllabus.  Different citation styles are preferred for different topics.  This guide provides you with resources for the different citation styles that you may be rquired to use in your CCM courses.
