The very first issue of County College of Morris's newspaper published without a name on October 18, 1968 asking the students to select a name. Students chose Youngtown, referencing the mountain upon which the college was built.
During Spring Semester of 1969, CCM had their very first stage production: "A Streetcar Named Desire". The performance was reviewed in the May 28, 1969 Youngtown Edition.
