What is a Book Review?

What is a Book Review?

A book review is a critical description or an analysis of a book. Book reviews are printed in newspapers, magazines, and scholarly journals. Book reviews are read to help people determine if they would like to read a book. Book reviews often review the content of a book and integrate their review of that content against the backdrop of the subject in general. Book reviews often compare the book being reviewed to prior books written about the same topic and end with a recommendation for or against reading and/or purchase.
